Dr. Hodges and Staff

Dr. Hodges, a native Texan, completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in 1975 and his dental training at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1979.  After a one year General Dentistry associateship in the office of Dr. Darrell Hawkins, Dr. Hodges entered solo practice in Brenham, Texas.  During his nine years in Brenham, Dr. Hodges earned his designation as Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry following the completion of 500 hours of continuing dental education and a qualifying exam.  He continues to be a student of the profession, attending many courses in advanced dental techniques each year.

In 1989 Dr. Hodges left private practice to pursue studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in preparation for service on the mission field.  From 1991 to 1997 Dr. Hodges and his wife, Cherri, accompanied by their children, Emily and Drew, served as Southern Baptist missionaries in Nigeria, West Africa.  The health concerns of their aging parents brought the Hodges family back to the United States and Texas.  Dr. Hodges assumed care for the patients of retiring dentist, Dr. Swan Richardson, in Stephenville where he and his staff members, Janis Geck, Diana Ford, Pam Cobb, Leah Sanderford and Cathy Hollabaugh offer a combined 129 years experience in providing all aspects of general dentistry.

Dr. Hodges’s passions outside of dentistry include bicycling, fly fishing, and woodworking.  He is a member of Trinity Bible Church, Willow Park, Texas, where he serves as an elder and a member of the Outreach (Missions) Team.
